Job summary

City and County of Honolulu seeks a seasoned Human Resources Administrator (Labor Relations & Training) to lead the Labor Relations and Training Division in Honolulu. The role oversees labor-management relations, negotiations for nine bargaining units, and the staff responsible for development and training programs.

The position involves advisory duties to City leadership, budget preparation, and engagement with multiple public and private entities to advance programs and policy.

Qualifications

• Five years of professional experience in labor relations and related activities.
• Supervisory experience with managerial responsibilities.
• Experience with negotiations, dispute resolution, and arbitration advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, supervise and lead seven personnel in labor-management relations, including negotiations for nine bargaining units.
• Direct, coordinate, supervise and lead four personnel in personnel development and training programs.
• Attend meetings with City Administration, unions, and government entities to discuss relevant programs.
