Hallcon is seeking a Labor Relations Generalist to support labor relations across 6,500 employees and 17 CBAs. The role manages union relationships, employee relations matters, and grievances while advising leadership to ensure compliance with labor laws and negotiated agreements.

The candidate will partner with the Sr. Director to execute strategic HR initiatives, assist with contract administration, and prepare for arbitrations and negotiations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Labor Relations, or related field (or equivalent).
• 2+ years in labor/employee relations in a union environment, or a master’s degree in HR or Labor Relations.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with executive presence.
• Multi-state experience and knowledge of employment law.
• Disciplined, organized, and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsabilités

• Partner with Sr. Director to execute strategic HR, labor, and employee relations initiatives.
• Advise on contract administration and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements.
• Primary contact for grievances; track trends, resolutions, and response timelines.
• Advise management on grievance procedures, discipline, and just-cause standards.
• Support collective bargaining preparation and negotiations; research proposals and cost terms.
• Prepare case files, evidence, and witnesses for arbitrations and third-party proceedings.
• Ensure negotiated terms (wage schedules, seniority, PTO, benefits) are implemented with payroll, benefits, and operations.
• Develop and deliver training for managers on contract compliance and labor relations practices.
• Analyze wage and benefit data and recommend adjustments based on market benchmarks and contracts.
