Harford County Public Schools seeks a Staff and Labor Relations Specialist to help manage employee contracts, grievances and appeals, and to provide guidance to administrators on labor relations and policy matters.

The role requires interpreting applicable laws and negotiated agreements, coordinating unemployment processes, and supporting evaluation and handbook initiatives within a team focused on compliant, fair employment practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with related field focus.
• Three years of professional HR or labor relations experience preferred.
• Experience interpreting federal, state, and local policies and negotiated agreements.
• Ability to compile, analyze and interpret data to support decisions.

Responsabilités

• Assist in administration and interpretation of employee contracts and grievances.
• Advise school personnel on staff and labor relations matters under supervision.
• Serve on bargaining teams and support contract proposal development.
• Coordinate unemployment claims and hearings to ensure legal compliance.
• Monitor evaluation processes and ensure policy adherence.
