Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Labor Relations Specialist to support workforce and labor relations activities on a large-scale industrial construction project in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. This role acts as a liaison between project teams, craft employees, union partners, recruiting teams, and labor leadership to maintain a productive and compliant workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Labor Relations, Business, or related field required.
• 3+ years of labor relations, HR, or related experience.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Support labor relations and workforce management activities for the project site.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with local union representatives and workforce partners.
• Assist with CBAs and PLAs interpretation and administration.
• Coordinate union dispatch requests and support staffing with recruiting and operations teams.
• Support onboarding, orientation, site access, and union verification processes.
• Monitor workforce levels and assist with manpower forecasting and staffing reports.
• Track labor relations metrics, headcount, and union utilization.
• Assist in resolving workforce concerns and labor inquiries.
• Support grievance documentation and investigations as directed by labor leadership.
• Coordinate labor-management meetings and workforce engagement initiatives.
• Maintain labor relations records and compliance documentation.
