Job summary

Penn Terminals LLC is seeking a Labor Relations & Safety Supervisor to support the Head of Labor Relations and Safety. The role focuses on labor relations, documentation for contracts and policy development, investigations, and safety program implementation to ensure safe practices in the terminal.

The position requires experience in labor relations, handling employee inquiries, and a working knowledge of EEO and collective bargaining.

Qualifications

• Combination of work and educational experience in Labor Relations.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in EHS management.
• Experience in international logistics and/or marine terminals a plus, but not a prerequisite.

Responsibilities

• Assists routine labor relations inquiries related to policies, procedures, and bargaining agreements; refers complex matters to appropriate management staff.
• Serves as a contact and liaison for intake and assessment of employee complaints.
• Conducts initial interviews and gathers information for employee relations matters such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other concerns; informs appropriate HR staff when additional investigation is required.
• Assists with recordkeeping related to hiring, termination, leave, transfer, and promotion.
• Collects information and data to assess cost and policy implications of negotiations and disputes.
• Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action, collective bargaining, unions, and labor relations.
