Job summary

PSA Penn Terminals LLC is seeking a Labor Relations & Safety Supervisor to assist the Head of Labor Relations and Safety with policy development, investigations, and safety management at our marine terminal.

You’ll help with recordkeeping on hiring, promotions, and leaves, conduct initial employee-relations interviews, and support negotiations and safety initiatives in a fast-paced terminal environment.

Qualifications

• Combination of work and educational experience in Labor Relations.
• Minimum two years of relevant EHS management experience.
• Experience in international logistics and/or marine terminals preferred.
• Understanding of laws related to collective bargaining and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Assists routine labor relations inquiries related to policies and bargaining agreements; refers complex matters to management.
• Serves as liaison for intake and assessment of employee complaints.
• Conducts initial interviews for employee relations matters and informs HR staff for further investigation.
• Maintains records related to hiring, termination, leave, transfer and promotion.
• Collects information for negotiations cost and policy implications (pay scales, benefits, working conditions).
• Supports safety initiatives and workers’ compensation processes; coordinates with the provider.
• Assists in preparing documents for contract negotiations and meetings.
