Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a Labor Relations professional to support management across multiple departments within the Corporate Affairs Division. The role focuses on implementing, maintaining, and administering collective bargaining agreements and partnerships with organized groups.

You will manage disputes, negotiate resolutions, and oversee labor agreement interpretations for assigned work groups while supporting grievance processes through arbitration. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Industrial Relations, or related field or equivalent experience/training.
• 5 years experience in HR, Labor Relations, or management of unionized employees.
• 2 years in a supervisory/management position.
• Experience or formal training in early dispute resolution strategy.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt and effective support on labor-related issues to management across multiple corporate departments.
• Manages disputes and negotiates resolutions between union representatives and management.
• Negotiates new work rules for organized employee groups.
• Manages administration and interpretation of labor agreements for assigned work group.
• Provides support for grievance handling up to arbitration.
• Develops and maintains relationships with labor organizations representing the assigned work group.
• Ability to travel.
