Job summary

Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA) in Dallas–Ft. Worth (Euless), Texas, seeks an experienced Labor Relations Counsel to advise pilot governing bodies and members on employment issues. Requires deep knowledge of labor law, collective bargaining, and FAA matters, with 20–40% travel.

The role includes negotiating, contract administration, and comprehensive case management, often on short notice, with potential involvement in national projects in DC.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Law (LLM), or similar advanced degree from an approved school of law required.
• Member in good standing of the Bar.
• Five (5) years of related experience in labor law and litigation, preferably in aviation; fifteen (15) or more years strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise pilot governing bodies and members on employment matters.
• Coordinate negotiations and monitor contract administration.
• Handle case management functions and FAA-related actions against pilots.
• Contribute to national projects in the Washington, DC area when required.
