Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a Labor Relations professional at our DFW Headquarters in Fort Worth, TX. You will support management on labor-related issues across departments, negotiate resolutions with union representatives, and administer labor agreements for assigned groups.

Responsibilities include handling grievances up to arbitration, building relationships with labor organizations, and travel as required. A Bachelor’s in HR/IR plus experience in unionized environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR/IR or related field or equivalent experience
• 5 years HR, Labor Relations, or operational management of unionized employees
• 2 years in a supervisory/management position
• Experience or formal training in early dispute resolution strategy

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt and effective support on labor-related issues to management within multiple corporate departments
• Manages disputes and negotiates resolutions between union representatives and management
• Negotiates new work rules for organized employee groups
• Manages the administration and interpretation of labor agreements for assigned work group
• Provides support for grievance handling up to and including arbitration
• Develops and maintains responsible relationships with labor organizations representing assigned work group
• Ability to travel
