Job summary

Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA) seeks an experienced Labor Relations Counsel for its Dallas office. The role supports pilot governing bodies and members on employment matters, handling complex labor relations tasks with short notice.

You will contribute to negotiating agreements, monitor contracts, and may work on national aviation projects. Required are a JD/LLM or equivalent, bar membership, and 5 years of labor law experience (15+ preferred).

Qualifications

• JD, LLM, or equivalent from an approved school of law.
• Bar in good standing.
• 5 years of labor law and litigation experience; 15+ years preferred.
• Experience in collective bargaining, grievance and arbitration preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to pilot governing bodies and members on employment matters.
• Assist in negotiating agreements and coordinate activities during negotiations.
• Monitor and administer contracts and handle FAA actions against pilots.
• Prepare summaries of hearings and manage case load; may work on national projects.
