Now Hiring: Labor Relations Manager (Based Near South Bend, IN)

Step into a high-impact leadership role where your expertise in labor relations will shape the future of a growing healthcare organization. In this newly created position, you’ll lead and strengthen an established team, help build a Center of Excellence, and create consistent, effective processes that support thousands of employees across multiple locations. If you're ready to lead contract negotiations, influence senior leaders, and drive lasting change, we want to hear from you.

  • Build something new. Help shape a Center of Excellence focused on associate and labor relations.
  • Make an impact fast. In your first 90 days, you’ll help hire the team, implement an interim ticketing solution, and build trust with union leaders and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive consistency. You’ll lead the charge in standardizing processes, strengthening ADA/accommodation practices, and bringing structure to a growing system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of associate and labor relations professionals, overseeing issues for union and non-union employees across multiple hospital locations.
  • Direct contract negotiations, high-level grievances, and union relationships.
  • Develop and roll out standard policies and training across the organization.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to design and launch a new ServiceNow-based ticketing system.
  • Support policy enforcement, ADA accommodations, and corrective action procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Extensive labor relations experience, including union negotiations and CBA expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of ADA and accommodations processes.
  • Effective leadership experience with remote and onsite teams.
  • An assertive, solution-oriented communicator who can confidently navigate union discussions and influence senior leadership.
  • Experience in healthcare, shared services, or COE environments is a plus.
  • Proficiency with PeopleSoft and/or ServiceNow is helpful but not required.

Location & Travel:

  • Although this position is remote, the candidate MUST reside in the South Bend, IN area, as there will be frequent on-site presence in Kalamazoo, MI, Three Rivers, MI, and South Bend, IN.
  • Must be able to travel quickly when needed for negotiations, investigations, or high-priority issues.

Salary: $100,000- $120,000, based on experience.
