Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Labor Relations professional to guide CBA interpretation, administration, and compliance across unionized locations. You will help support and lead negotiations, manage grievances, and advise on employee relations with business leaders.

The role requires collaboration with operations, travel to sites as needed, and a strong grounding in labor cost structures and benefits programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources, Business Management, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in HR or Operations with significant exposure to labor relations.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of compensation and benefits programs and labor cost structures.
• Experience representing organizational interests in grievance, labor law, or NLRB procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on CBA interpretation, administration and compliance.
• Support and lead collective bargaining negotiations, including strategy development and bargaining of assigned labor agreements.
• Manage the grievance process for assigned CBAs, including investigations, settlements and arbitration prep.
• Advise on employee relations matters including discipline, accommodations, and contract issues with business leaders.
• Administer union compliance activities and collaborate with Corporate Benefits on benefits plans.
• Work with operations leadership to optimize staffing, workforce planning and training in unionized facilities.
• Conduct wage market analyses and labor cost modeling to support negotiations and labor relations strategy.
