Job summary

• Experience in labor relations and employee discipline processes.
• Ability to coordinate grievance reviews and hearings.
• Strong liaison skills with union representatives.

• Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques and labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate grievance review and disciplinary appeals proceedings and assist in hearings.
• Participate in labor management meetings and liaison with NYC Office of Labor Relations.
• Maintain liaison with union representatives and coordinate labor meetings.
• Prepare and update Monthly Labor Relations Report.
• Advise management on handling labor problems and dispute resolution options.
• Provide trainings on labor relations and performance feedback.
• Assist in Employee Evaluation Appeal process.
• Identify issues and legal/contractual obligations.
• Manage internal relationships and coordinate conflict resolution sessions.
• Handle workplace disputes between supervisors and subordinates.
• Conduct conflict consultations to guide escalation to alternative means.
• Collect data and produce statistical reports on internal disputes.
• Develop education techniques to promote conflict management agency-wide.
• Perform related work as assigned.
