Adams & Martin Group, a respected California law firm, seeks an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal to support its Labor & Employment practice. This hybrid role blends litigation support and paralegal duties across all stages of litigation, with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of labor and employment litigation experience, a Paralegal Certificate, advanced Excel skills, and strong e-discovery, filing, and trial preparation capabilities.

Qualifications

• Paralegal Certificate or CA BPC-compliant qualification.
• 5+ years in labor and employment litigation support.
• Advanced Excel and e-discovery platform experience.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, court appearances, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and client meetings.
• Prepare, revise, and file legal documents in state and federal courts, including electronic filings.
• Maintain case files, conflict checks, new matter documentation, billing, time entry, and expense reporting.
• Conduct wage and hour analysis, including PAGA and class action damages calculations using Excel.
• Manage e-discovery processes, document review, database maintenance, analytics, and productions.
• Prepare subpoenas, monitor compliance, and coordinate related legal processes.
• Conduct factual and legal research using Westlaw and other resources.
• Assist with deposition, arbitration, and trial preparation, including exhibit management, trial logistics, and courtroom support.
• Review, analyze, organize, and summarize discovery and litigation materials.
• Collaborate with attorneys, staff, outside vendors, experts, and service providers to ensure efficient case management.
