Job summary

SNI Companies is partnering with an established Maryland law firm to hire an Employment Litigation Attorney at Senior Associate or Partner level. The role emphasizes representing employers in employment disputes with significant litigation responsibility and direct client interaction.

The position requires a JD, active bar status (Md preferred), and at least five years of employment-law experience, including EEOC/NLRB matters.

Qualifications

• Active bar membership and good standing; Maryland bar admission strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience practicing employment law with a focus on litigation.
• Demonstrated experience representing employers in employment disputes.
• Experience handling EEOC and/or NLRB matters.
• Strong litigation skills including discovery, depositions, motions, and case strategy.
• Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload and deliver effective litigation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage employment litigation matters from initial assessment through resolution.
• Represent employers in disputes involving federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Handle matters involving EEOC, NLRB, and other administrative agencies.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions, manage discovery, and develop litigation strategies.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, negotiations, and other proceedings.
• Provide strategic counsel to employers regarding workplace disputes, employment practices, and litigation risk.
• Maintain direct client relationships and communicate effectively throughout the litigation process.
• Manage multiple matters independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality legal work.

• Strong litigation experience, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and case strategy.
• Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to client service.
• Ability to work onsite in the Baltimore/Annapolis area.
• Competitive base salary of $175,000-$300,000, depending on experience.
