Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission in MD, VA, or DC, or eligible for admission.
• 3–5 years of labor and employment experience with emphasis on employment litigation.

Responsibilities

• Defend employers in employment litigation and administrative proceedings, including EEOC charges and investigations.
• Handle matters involving employment discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and other workplace claims.
• Represent clients in state and federal courts throughout the DMV region.
• Advise employers on a broad range of employment and labor matters, including policies, employee relations, and compliance.
• Advise on unfair labor practice claims and other traditional labor matters.
• Advise on employment-related immigration matters and coordinate with immigration counsel.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other phases of litigation and dispute resolution.

We're supporting a firm that is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join our growing labor and employment practice in the DMV region. The ideal candidate will have meaningful experience representing employers in employment-related disputes and advising clients on a broad range of workplace matters.

The successful candidate will have experience handling employment litigation in state and federal courts, as well as administrative proceedings before agencies such as the EEOC. The attorney will also assist clients with day-to-day employment counseling and provide practical, business-focused advice on workplace issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Defend employers in employment litigation and administrative proceedings, including EEOC charges and investigations.
• Handle matters involving employment discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and other workplace claims.
• Represent clients in state and federal courts throughout the DMV region.
• Advise employers on a broad range of employment and labor matters, including workplace policies, employee relations, disciplinary actions, terminations, and compliance.
• Handle or assist with unfair labor practice claims and other traditional labor matters.
• Advise clients regarding employment-related immigration matters and coordinate with immigration counsel as appropriate.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, position statements, and other litigation documents.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other phases of litigation and dispute resolution.
• Work directly with clients and collaborate with other attorneys to develop effective litigation and counseling strategies.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission in Maryland, Virginia, or the District of Columbia, or eligibility for admission.
• 3–5 years of labor and employment experience, with a strong emphasis on employment litigation.
