Job summary

A leading national law firm in Minneapolis seeks an experienced labor & employment attorney to join its team. This attorney will work closely with senior attorneys and firm leadership on a broad range of employment litigation and counseling matters.

Responsibilities include managing single-plaintiff matters, drafting motions and briefs, taking depositions, and contributing to business development within the employment practice.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of labor and employment litigation and counseling experience in a law firm environment.
• Active Minnesota bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission in Minnesota.
• Strong experience with employment litigation including plaintiff matters and more complex disputes.
• Demonstrated interest in developing a long-term labor & employment practice.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage single-plaintiff employment litigation matters and take a significant role in complex, high-stakes disputes.
• Work with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategy and case tactics.
• Draft substantial motions, briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
• Interview witnesses and develop factual presentations for employment disputes.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Advise clients on increasingly complex labor and employment matters based on experience.
• Participate in trial preparation and trial proceedings as needed.
• Contribute to business development and continued growth of the employment practice.
