Responsibilities

Serve as lead attorney for arbitration, unemployment, mediation, unfair labor practice charges, and Merit Commission hearings and appeals.
Assist with labor relations and provide legal advice to the Department of Personnel on labor relations matters.
Research and analyze employee and labor relations and changes to rules, codes, and policies.
Liaise with personnel staff, management, department staff, and union representatives to resolve matters and interpret contracts, rules, codes, and policies.
Provide advice on statutory interpretations and compliance with laws and office procedures.
Perform other duties as required.
