Qualifications

• 2-4 years’ experience in employment related litigation and client counseling.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Good organizational and project management skills.
• Experience in managing discovery.
• Experience in taking and defending depositions.
• Proficient in the use of on-line legal research services including Westlaw.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Experience in traditional labor matters a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and high-quality legal research
• Assist with all areas of discovery including drafting discovery requests and responses
• Prepare legal briefs and other pleadings
• Coordinate with partner-level attorneys on production and vendors
• Draft responses to EEOC and MDCR charges
• Handle employment-related litigation activities including motions, mediations, depositions
• Prepare trial materials
• Attend and assist at pretrial, trial, and post-trial proceedings
