Qualifications

Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
Must be a member in good standing with the California State Bar.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in labor and employment law, preferably in a defense role.

Responsibilities

Advise employers on employment issues, such as workplace policies, employee relations, wage and hour compliance, and risk management.
Represent the organization in mediations, arbitrations, and court trials.
Conduct thorough legal research to provide accurate and timely advice.
Prepare and review contracts, agreements, and policies to ensure they are legally sound.
Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop defense strategies.
Stay updated on changes in labor and employment laws to ensure compliance.
Provide training to management and HR on labor and employment law matters.
Assist in managing litigation activities, including budgeting and reporting.
