Jobot is seeking a Labor & Employment Attorney to represent employers in labor and employment matters on Long Island. This is a full-time, on-site position with regular court and agency appearances based in Melville, NY.

The role requires a J.D. from an accredited law school and NY admission, 5–15+ years of employer-side experience, and proven CBA negotiation, grievance arbitration, and agency hearing capabilities. Expect substantial client contact and litigation responsibilities.

• Handle matters before PERB, NLRB, EEOC, NYS DHR, and NYCCHR.
• Manage litigation from pleadings through trial, arbitrations, mediations, and hearings.
• Advise clients on prevailing wage law, withdrawal liability, and labor law compliance.
• Negotiate and draft collective bargaining agreements.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Support general corporate and commercial transaction matters as needed.

Labor & Employment Attorney on Long Island needed

Job Details

Hiring a Labor & Employment Attorney to represent employer in labor and employment matters, including discrimination defense, wage and hour disputes, CBA negotiations, and grievance arbitration. This is a full-time, on-site role with full client contact and regular court and agency appearances.

Responsibilities

• Represent and defend employers in sexual harassment/discrimination claims, wage and hour disputes, CBA negotiations, grievance arbitration, and improper practice charges
• Handle matters before PERB, NLRB, EEOC, NYS DHR, and NYCCHR
• Manage litigation from pleadings through trial, including arbitrations, mediations, and administrative hearings
• Advise clients on prevailing wage law, withdrawal liability, and labor law compliance
• Negotiate and draft collective bargaining agreements
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Support general corporate and commercial transaction matters as needed

Details

• Full-time, on-site
• Salary: $150K–$250K+, based on experience
• Bonus opportunities: $10K at 1,800 hours, $20K at 2,000 hours (target: 1,680)
• Originations rewarded (15% credit) but not required
