Job summary

Latitude is seeking a California-licensed litigation attorney to support its labor and employment practice. This is a fully remote contract role with no travel; you may work part-time or full-time, with a flexible schedule.

A litigator with strong courtroom skills is preferred; labor and employment experience is a plus but not required. Spanish fluency is strongly preferred due to direct work with Spanish-speaking clients and witnesses.

Job description

A well-established law firm with offices across California is looking for a California-licensed litigation attorney to support its labor and employment practice. This is a fully remote contract role with no travel. You can work part-time or full-time, and your schedule is flexible.

This role suits a litigator who wants substantive work on active matters and control over their own schedule. Labor and employment experience is a plus but not required. Strong litigation skills matter most. Spanish fluency is strongly preferred, because you may work directly with Spanish-speaking clients and witnesses.

What You'll Do

• Draft and review pleadings, written discovery, and motions
• Prepare for and support hearings
• Work closely with the firm's attorneys to move labor and employment matters forward efficiently

What You Bring

• Active California bar license in good standing
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Hands-on experience drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions, and handling hearings
• Labor and employment litigation experience (preferred)
• Spanish fluency (preferred but not required)
• An organized, responsive working style suited to flexible, engagement-based work
• Availability of about 20–40 hours per week, based on your preference
• Excellent professional references
• Role type: Engagement (contract)
• Schedule: Part-time or full-time, flexible hours
• Location: Remote, anywhere in the U.S. (California license required)
• Pay: $175,000–$210,000 annualized on a full-time basis. Your rate depends on experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market demand, and your own rate preference. Keep in mind that your rate affects the client's bill rate, which can affect how competitive your candidacy is.
