The role involves handling sophisticated wage and hour, PAGA, and class action matters for a diverse client base, with significant client interaction and a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate has a JD from a top-tier law school, California Bar admission in good standing, and 4–7 years of substantive labor and employment experience.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing.
• 4-7 years of substantive labor and employment law experience.
• Significant experience handling wage and hour, PAGA, and class action matters, including matters in state and federal courts.
• Arbitration, mediation, or trial experience is required.
• Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating effectively within team-based environments.
• Comfortable with and open to using AI-driven and emerging technologies, with the ability to apply them effectively to boost efficiency, improve client service and enhance legal work output.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in wage and hour, PAGA, and class action litigation matters.
• Handle a wide range of labor and employment litigation matters, from inception through resolution.
• Advise clients on compliance with evolving California and federal employment laws.
• Draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation filings.
• Participate in discovery, including depositions, document review, and preparation of discovery responses.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, pleadings, and settlement documentation.
• Represent clients in disputes involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategic, practical solutions tailored to client needs.
