Markent Personnel, Inc. LA is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join a leading management-side firm in Los Angeles.

This role involves handling wage and hour, PAGA, and class action matters with significant client interaction in a hybrid environment. The ideal candidate has a California Bar in good standing, 4–7 years of relevant experience, and strong research and advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing.
• 4–7 years of substantive labor and employment law experience.
• Significant experience handling wage and hour, PAGA, and class action matters, including state and federal courts.
• Arbitration, mediation, or trial experience is required.
• Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in wage and hour, PAGA, and class action litigation matters.
• Handle a wide range of labor and employment litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Advise clients on compliance with evolving California and federal employment laws.
• Draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation filings.
• Participate in discovery, including depositions, document review, and discovery responses.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, pleadings, and settlement documentation.
• Represent clients in disputes involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategic, practical solutions tailored to client needs.
