A highly regarded national law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Labor & Employment Associate to join its Tampa office.

This is a genuine employer-side Labor & Employment position for an attorney with substantive employment-law experience who is ready to assume greater responsibility for litigation matters and direct client interaction.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced attorneys while being given the opportunity to manage significant aspects of matters independently.

The Role

The attorney will represent employers across matters including:

• Harassment and retaliation matters.
• Wage-and-hour disputes.
• Employment-related contract claims.
• Restrictive covenant and non-compete disputes.
• Drafting pleadings and substantive motions.
• Managing written and electronic discovery.
• Taking and defending depositions.
• Legal research and case-strategy development.
• Preparing matters for hearings and trial.
• Mediation and settlement negotiations.
• Responding to EEOC and other administrative agency charges.
• Working directly with employer clients.
• Managing employment litigation from inception through resolution.

The Candidate

Candidates should have:

• 4–6 years of post-JD litigation experience.
• Substantive Labor & Employment experience is required.
• Employer-side experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent legal research and writing ability.
• Strong organizational skills.
• The ability to manage matters independently and collaboratively.
• A JD from an accredited US law school.
• Ability to work full-time from the Tampa office.
