Wintermeyer Ventures in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an associate to join a labor and employment litigation team handling a broad range of California matters. You will work directly with partners and clients and take on meaningful case responsibilities from the outset.

Responsibilities include defending single-plaintiff lawsuits, handling PAGA matters and employment class actions, taking and defending depositions, drafting motions, and managing day-to-day case tasks with moderate independence.

Formación

• 3–5 years of experience in California labor and employment defense litigation.
• Juris Doctor and active California license to practice law.
• Experience defending single-plaintiff employment cases, PAGA matters, and employment class actions.
• Strong research, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.

About the Role

Join a labor and employment litigation team handling a broad range of California employment matters. You will work directly with partners and clients and take on meaningful case responsibilities from the outset.

What You'll Do

• Defend single-plaintiff employment lawsuits involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour issues, and reasonable accommodation.
• Handle Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) matters and employment class actions.
• Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs and corporate witnesses.
• Draft and argue dispositive and discovery motions.
• Manage day-to-day case responsibilities and communicate with partners and clients.

What We're Looking For

• Three to five years of experience in California labor and employment defense litigation.
• A Juris Doctor degree and an active license to practice law in California.
• Experience defending single-plaintiff employment cases, PAGA matters, and employment class actions.
• Hands-on deposition, motion practice, and courtroom experience, with the ability to manage matters with moderate independence.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual base salary: $225,000 to $245,000. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Hybrid role based in Los Angeles, California.
