Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Labor and Delivery unit at Carolinas Medical Center. The role supports the RN circulator, maintains aseptic technique, and assists in preparing patients, instruments, and the sterile field.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and NBSTSA/NCCT certification preferred. Competitive benefits apply and full-time schedule with 7p–7a shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or military training in Surgical Technology/OR Specialist.
• Current NBSTSA/NCCT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing the patient, supplies, instruments and room turnover.
• Monitors sterility of supplies and documents charges accurately.
• Supports RN circulator and handles instrument setup and post-procedure tasks.
• Attends trainings and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
• Contributes to policy and procedure development.
