AdventHealth in Ocala, FL is seeking a full-time surgical support role to assist the operating room team. You will anticipate surgeon needs, assemble supplies, and maintain sterility while supporting patient safety and team collaboration across shifts.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong adherence to aseptic techniques, regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication. This role offers a night-weekend schedule with a competitive sign-on bonus and relocation incentives where eligible.

Qualifications

• Must have English communication skills sufficient for clinical teamwork.
• Experience with aseptic/sterile technique and surgical instruments.
• Understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates surgeon needs and informs circulating nurse during procedures.
• Maintains high standards for cost containment and quality.
• Assembles all supplies, equipment and medications before procedures.
• Supports satisfaction activities; maintains relations with physicians and staff.
• Monitors aseptic technique and corrects breaches promptly.
• Identifies environment concerns and ensures regulatory adherence.
• Supervises team members and aids with orientation and training.
• Promotes safety and manages hazards in emergencies.
• Follows infection control practices and PPE usage.
• Participates in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
• Assists surgical team and ensures efficient OR turnover.
