AdventHealth Ocala is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our night-shift OR team. You will anticipate surgeon needs, ensure aseptic technique, assemble instruments, and support staff to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Fluent English communication required and reading/writing proficiency to carry out job requirements.
• Basic aseptic/sterile technique and knowledge of surgical instrumentation.
• Knowledge of healthcare concepts, regulatory requirements, and ability to follow surgeon dictated instructions.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates surgeon needs and communicates with circulating nurse during procedures.
• Maintains high standards for cost savings and quality in the surgical environment.
• Assembles supplies, equipment, and medications prior to procedures.
• Supports staff relationships and responds to complaints promptly.
• Monitors aseptic technique and corrects any breaches.
• Ensures adherence to regulatory standards and patient safety policies.
• Supervises team members and assists with orientation and training.
• Performs OR turnover efficiently and directs ancillary personnel as needed.
