Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• High School Diploma; accredited program preferred.
• 1-2 years previous experience in minimally invasive surgical procedures.
• 5-7 years experience within a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists in positioning and transferring patients.
• Prepares, maintains, and monitors sterile set-up.
• Dispose of linens, gloves, and sharps in appropriate containers.
• Transports instruments to decontamination area.
• Checks equipment and instruments prior to cases.
• Maintains sterile field until dressings are applied and patient leaves room.
• Identifies and labels medications on back table.
• Maintains sterile technique and PPE protocol at all times.
• Precepts or assists as needed and supports room turnover.
