Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technician to support operating room teams on day and night shifts.

You will assist in positioning patients, prepare sterile setups, and ensure instruments and supplies are ready for procedures, maintaining strict aseptic technique. Ideal candidates have CPR certification, a high school diploma, and 1–2 years of experience with minimally invasive surgery, with competency across general, gynecological, and cardiovascular

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• High School Diploma required; accredited program preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience with minimally invasive surgical procedures.
• Competent in General, Gynecological and Cardiovascular Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Assists in positioning and transferring of patients.
• Prepares, maintains, and monitors sterile set-up.
• Dispose of linens, gloves, and sharps in appropriate containers.
• Transports instruments to decontamination area and checks equipment before cases.
• Maintains sterile field until dressings are applied and imaging is completed.
• Reports equipment issues to charge nurse and ensures safety protocols.
