Job summary

University Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Perinatal Services team in Labor & Delivery at Lakewood Medical Center. This weekend-only role focuses on compassionate maternal-newborn care and clinical leadership during every birth journey.

You’ll work across triage, antepartum, labor, delivery, and recovery, mentoring others, shaping care standards, and advancing your clinical leadership within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Active Missouri RN license in good standing and a degree in nursing.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Completion of AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Course is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on nursing care through all stages of the childbirth journey.
• Develop and implement care plans with advocacy for patients.
• Mentor and support onboarding, skills testing, and professional growth for new nurses.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, compassionate care.
