Job summary

The Birth Place at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center is a Magnet-designated unit delivering family-centered care for over 1,000 births annually. As part of the Birth Place team, a Registered Nurse provides comprehensive ante-, intra-, and post-partum care, including Cesarean and other gynecological procedures, in a Level II Special Care Nursery environment.

Join a multidisciplinary team staffed by RNs, LNAs, CNAs, lactation consultants, and obstetric providers, committed to ongoing education

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current NH licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess and implement priority-based nursing care and establish goals to meet patient needs.
• Integrate patient values, best practice, and evidence into patient care.
• Engage patients and/or families in the care delivery.
• Function competently within own scope of practice.
• Utilize a communication style/practice to meet the needs of the team and/or the situation.
