Job summary

Care Career in Brunswick, GA seeks a Labor & Delivery RN to join a hospital-based maternity team. The role focuses on obstetric care from antepartum through postpartum, with opportunities to participate in cesarean sections and recovery care.

Responsibilities include triage, labor support, and postpartum nursing, with a six‑month orientation for transitions from other specialties. Excellent compensation and relocation options are available to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree nursing program.
• Current RN license to practice in the State of Georgia.
• Minimum 1 year of acute‑care hospital nursing experience.
• American Heart Association BLS certification prior to hire.
• Ability to provide postpartum nursing care.
• Ability to meet the unit's weekend, holiday, and on‑call requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the care of assigned obstetric patients using appropriate clinical judgment and decision‑making.
• Perform obstetric triage and antepartum assessment.
• Provide nursing care throughout labor and vaginal delivery.
• Serve as a circulating RN during Cesarean sections.
• Provide post‑anesthesia and post‑Cesarean recovery care.
• Provide postpartum nursing care as needed.
• Assess patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately.
• Deliver evidence‑based nursing care using appropriate personnel, equipment, supplies, and clinical resources.
• Communicate and collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team to provide optimal patient care.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth experience.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow hospital safety and quality standards.
