Job summary

Qualifications
- BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire.
- Certification from either AHA, ASHI, or Red Cross is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to mothers, newborns, and families during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
- Assess, monitor, and manage patients’ physical and emotional well-being during labor and recovery.
- Perform fetal heart rate monitoring and other diagnostic tests as needed.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals during deliveries and emergencies.
- Educate new mothers on breastfeeding, infant care, and postpartum recovery.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and epidurals while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies such as hemorrhage or fetal distress.
