Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center in Texas is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for PRN opportunities. The RN will coordinate and provide comprehensive patient care, perform assessments, and develop individualized care plans while supporting family-centered teaching and discharge planning.

The role requires 1 year of RN experience, ADN required with BSN preferred, and active Texas RN or Compact license. BLS and ACLS/ALS certifications are required under hospital policy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience in labor and delivery.
• Associates degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license or Compact license (TX license within 90 days).
• BLS certification required per policy.
• ACLS or ALS certification required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide patient care for all assigned L&D patients.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients and families.
• Develop individualized patient care plans and provide family teaching.
• Identify variances from the care plan and facilitate discharge planning.
