Job summary

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to support the Government in Yokosuka, Japan. This on-site, in-office position will provide care to routine and high-risk obstetrical patients, including newborns, in the assigned inpatient unit, following relevant care standards.

The role includes 14–17 shifts per month, each lasting 12–16 hours, with rotating day and night shifts on a quarterly basis.

Qualifications

• Establish priorities of patient care based on triage, nursing diagnosis, essential patient needs and outcomes.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to assess therapies and interventions.
• Operate specialty equipment and maintain a safe patient care environment.
• Administer medications and IV therapy; manage central and peripheral lines.
• Provide recovery care after anesthesia and C-sections.
• Advocate for patient confidentiality and assist families and significant others.
• Provide telephone advice and coordinate care when needed.
• Collaborate with social work and ancillary services to aid patients.

Responsibilities

• Apply understanding and operation of specialty equipment; maintain safe patient care environment.

• Provide recovery care for post-anesthesia patients following C-sections and other procedures.
• Serve as patient advocate and uphold confidentiality; assist patients and families.
• Provide telephone advice based on clinical knowledge and accepted standards.
• Collaborate with social work and ancillary services to aid patient care.
