Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley is seeking a registered nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting. You will assess, plan, and implement individualized care while coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to support patient and family needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in good standing.
• Experience in hospital nursing preferred.
• Strong patient communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
• Addresses the physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patient and family.
• Formulates, coordinates, and provides plan of care with education and discharge planning.
• Provides direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies.
• Evaluates and revises the care plan based on patient response and outcomes.
• Collaborates with physicians, ancillary staff, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintains equipment and participates in evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Participates in unit-level decision-making and quality/safety activities.
