Job summary

SEARHC in Sitka, AK is seeking a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery to provide care during labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period. You will monitor fetal status, support newborn care, administer meds, and respond to emergencies in collaboration with obstetric and neonatal teams.

This role emphasizes patient-centered, culturally sensitive care, with on-call expectations and a strong focus on safety, documentation, and ongoing professional development within SEARHC.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in Alaska or another U.S. state.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required.
• High Risk Competency required within 3 months and every year.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per provider orders and policy.
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to promote safe outcomes.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
