Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks an Level II Competent Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care through the nursing process in a designated clinical area.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and has experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Virginia RN License or reciprocal compact state required.
• BSN required.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• ACLS Provider required within 6 months.
• NRP required within 6 months.
• BSN is preferred in ASN track.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care with interdisciplinary teamwork to achieve patient outcomes.
• Coordinate involvement of the patient, family and health team in care, including education and discharge planning.
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care with health team members.
• Assist Leadership to define standards of excellence for patient care and participate in quality improvement.
• Participate in orientation of new staff and integrate performance improvement into care delivery.
• Serve as a liaison on hospital and department policies for nurses and health team members.
• Engage in daily operational activities for safe patient/staff environment.
