Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Level II Competent Registered Nurse in Fredericksburg, VA. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, collaboration with the care team, and patient-centered care across the nursing process.

The RN will provide direct patient care, participate in staffing and quality initiatives, and support orientation for new staff. Licensure in Virginia and BSN/ASN options are noted with required BLS/ACLS/NRP credentials within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year L&D/LDRP experience preferred.
• RN license valid in Virginia or a reciprocal compact state.
• BSN is preferred.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire; ACLS within 6 months; NRP within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process and teamwork.
• Coordinate involvement of patient, family, and health team members in care and discharge planning.
• Communicate plan of care to the health team and patient/family.
• Assist Leadership to define standards of excellence and participate in quality improvement.
• Orientate and onboard new staff and participate in hospital committees.
