Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license required (Virginia or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year L&D, LDRP experience preferred
• AHA BLS Provider CPR at hire; ACLS within 6 months; NRP within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process and teamwork
• Coordinate patient/family involvement in care and discharge planning
• Communicate plan of care with health team members
• Assist leadership to define standards of excellence in patient care
• Participate in performance and quality improvement activities
• Orient new staff members
• Act as point of contact on policies and procedures
• Engage in daily operational activities for safe environments
• Provide input to Nurse Manager on unit needs
• Participate in committees for policy development
• Perform other duties as assigned
