Job summary

Henrico Doctors’ Hospital in Virginia is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care during the intrapartum period. The unit handles about 4,400 births annually and operates 24/7 with OB Hospitalist, CNM, anesthesia, perinatology, neonatology, and a 40-bed Level III NICU.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, perform maternal and fetal assessments, educate families, and communicate clearly with staff and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license.
• Current BLS certification.
• At least two years of recent L&D RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maternal and fetal assessments with appropriate interventions.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions clearly.
• Educate and support families during the birth journey.
• Demonstrate professionalism, accountability and commitment to nursing care in labor and delivery.
