Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Richmond, VA is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care during the intrapartum period. The team supports low to high-risk births with comprehensive OB services and a 40-bed Level III NICU.

The role requires nursing licensure in Virginia or a compact state, BLS, and at least one year of inpatient RN experience. BSN preferred, with opportunities to engage in multidisciplinary rounds and patient-family education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license.
• Current BLS certification.
• At least one year of recent inpatient RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Maternal and fetal assessments and provide appropriate interventions.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.
• Educate and support families during the birth journey.
• Effective professional communication with all internal and external customers.
• Demonstrate professionalism, accountability and commitment to nursing care in labor and delivery.
