Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) in Boston, MA is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care within a patient-centered model. You will work with a supportive nursing organization to deliver exceptional outcomes for mothers and newborns.

The role requires 2 years of RN experience, MA RN licensure, and essential certifications (BLS; ACLS/NRP within set timelines; EFM certification). A strong team mentality and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred).
• Certification in BLS required; ACLS within 90 days of hire; NRP within 90 days of hire.
• AWHONN EFM certification required within 8 weeks of hire.
• 2 years RN experience; L&D RN experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional nursing care in labor and delivery using patient-centered care practices.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records; enter and interpret data.
• Follow BMCHS guidelines and policies; support quality improvement projects.
