Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery. You will deliver patient‑centered care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in quality improvement initiatives in a fast‑paced, supportive setting.

The role requires MA RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/NRP within specified times, and potentially an AWHONN EFM certification. Prior L&D experience and EHR familiarity are preferred. Competitive pay and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as an RN in Massachusetts.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred)
• Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
• Certification in BLS required
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire
• NRP certification required within 90 days of hire
• AWHONN EFM Intermediate/Advance certification required within 8 weeks of hire
• 2 years RN experience
• Labor and Delivery RN experience preferred
• Experience with electronic health record preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
• Fluency in another language a plus

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional nursing care across assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and their families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMCHS.
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.
