Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Maplewood, MN is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery Unit at St. John’s Hospital.

This 0.7 FTE evening-shift role includes 8-hour shifts with every-other-weekend rotation and opportunities through a nurse residency program for eligible new grads. Our unit supports 29 LDRP beds, 1 water birth room, 2 OR suites, and handles 200+ deliveries monthly, with NICU expansion to higher-risk patients.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Labor & Delivery/Postpartum experience.
• Valid RN license from MN Board of Nursing; BLS required.
• New grads with final rotation in labor and delivery/postpartum considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead the interdependent team to coordinate care for a patient group.
• Perform comprehensive patient and family assessment; develop and monitor plan of care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams about the care plan.
