TALENT Software Services is seeking a Labor & Delivery nurse for a leading acute care hospital in Coon Rapids, MN. This role involves work in both labor and post-partum settings within the Mother Baby Center.

The schedule is 3x12 hour shifts (days/nights), with alternate weekend requirements and no on-call. Experience with fetal monitoring, epidural management, and Pitocin administration is essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years in Labor & Delivery with post-partum experience.
• BLS and NRP certifications are required.
• First-time mothers accepted; weekend coverage as per unit policy.

Job Details

• Shift: 3x12 Days/Nights (0700-1930, 1900-0730)
• Average Daily Census: 8 deliveries/day; post-partum: 15/day
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years in Labor & Delivery with post-partum experience
• First-timers Accepted: Yes
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Certifications Required: BLS, NRP
• On-call Requirement: No
• Floating: Will float as needed within scope
• Block Schedule: Not accommodating
• Local Candidates: Not accepted within a 100-mile radius
• Pending License: Accepted
• RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days
• Guaranteed Hours: Client may cancel up to 3 shifts without penalty

Special Requirements

• Sterile vaginal exam experience
• Fetal Monitoring Skills: External/Internal Monitoring, IUPC placement, abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Experience with Pitocin (oxytocin) administration
• Managing/Administering Epidural Anesthesia
