Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Puget Sound area facilities. The role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care, performing assessments, coordinating care, and ensuring safe medication administration within a fast-paced interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has Med/Surg and/or Mother-Baby experience, holds a WA RN license, and is prepared to complete NRP within six months. BLS is required at hire as part of ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• One to two years Med/Surg experience with completion of Mother/Baby Education program or
• New graduate with completion of senior practicum in L&D, Mother/Baby unit or nursery.
• Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support CPR, upon hire and
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Adheres to department and hospital policies, safety, risk management and regulatory standards.
• Administers and documents medications per order.
• Assesses patients holistically, plans care, and coordinates discharge needs.
• Demonstrates cultural sensitivity in communication and care.
• Engages in professional growth and maintains accountability.
• Documents care using the nursing process and verifies physician orders.
