Job summary

HCA Florida UCF Lake Nona Hospital in Orlando is seeking a compassionate Labor & Delivery RN to join our obstetric team. You will perform clinical assessments, provide autonomous care, and support mothers and families in a patient-centered care model.

You will participate in routine deliveries and Cesarean sections, advocate for patient safety, and educate families about medications and procedures. A Florida RN license and acute care experience are required, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license required; a compact license holder has 60 days to obtain Florida licensure.
• 1+ year RN experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• RN Diploma/ASN with BSN preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days of start.
• BCLS Instructor or equivalent must be obtained within 30 days.
• ACLS Provider card required within 6 months.
• Neonatal Resuscitation within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data relevant to the patient’s health.
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses.
• Evaluate obstetrical patients for risks to mother or fetus.
• Participate in routine deliveries and Cesarean sections.
• Promote patient safety and quality care.
• Educate patients and families about medications and procedures.
• Ensure efficient use of time, supplies, and equipment.
